Mrs. Birkholz and the kids candled the eggs today and we so HAPPY to observe development in 16 eggs! That is great news considering the temperature problem and now the high humidity level in our classroom. I guess the kids enthusiasm for the project is beating the odds! Thank goodness! Video footage from todays candling process will be loaded soon.

- I am very excited to begin my eighth year teaching 1st Grade with the Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah School District. I thoroughly enjoy teaching children at this age as their academic achievements bring a smile to my face each day. In addition, I am honored to work with such dedicated parents, teachers, and a community that truly supports education. I am still a student at heart as I look for continuous ways to improve the classroom setting whether that be in new teaching approaches or my passion in technology. I graduated with my Master's Degree in Educational Technology in December 2011. I always strive to create a classroom that has the latest apps, websites, and online engaging activities to promote learning. When I'm not at school I enjoy traveling, reading, gardening, decorating my house, shopping, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
